The types of surgeries we perform include (but are not limited to):
We recommend pre-surgical blood work to evaluate your pet’s anesthetic risk. We also recommend an EKG prior to surgery in order to assess cardiac function. Dr. Blaso explains how preoperative testing lowers the risk of anesthesia for your pet in his “Ask the Doctor” educational video “Anesthesia and your Pet”. Please click here to view the video.
We utilize the safest anesthesia options available and provide the same level of patient monitoring that you would receive if you were having surgery. We monitor all of your pet’s vital signs with state of the art equipment as well as manual techniques. We recommend pre-surgical blood work so we can evaluate your pet’s kidney, liver and heart function prior to undergoing anesthesia.
Your pet’s pain relief is our top priority. We ensure your pet has minimal pain before, during and after their surgery or dental procedure. We utilize multiple therapies to control pain so that your pet is as comfortable as possible until they are fully recovered.
