Veterinary Dental Care

Approximately 80% of the patients we see on a daily basis have some form of dental disease.

Dental disease can have serious consequences ranging from kidney infections, liver infections, cardiac disease (endocarditis), strokes, and pain for your loved one.  When performing a professional dental cleaning under general anesthesia we will perform a comprehensive oral examination, looking for mobility, fractures, malocclusions and periodontal disease. We will then remove excess plaque and tartar and finish with a thorough polishing.  If any teeth need to be extracted we will contact you PRIOR to removal.

For further information please see Dr. Blaso explain why dental care is important for your pet in his “Ask the Doctor” educational video series. Click here to view the video.
